Your space needs to feel true to yourself. But sometimes, it can be hard to determine the perfect aesthetic and function. This is where we come in to help you figure it all out. We’ll ask you a lot of questions regarding your lifestyle, hobbies, and family dynamics. Your answers will give us great clues on how to best design your space. By mixing vintage with modern elements, we’ll create a timeless design that functions well and stands the test of time for you.
We’re always on the hunt for vintage and antique pieces, sourcing them from local antique shops, estate sales, and seasonal antique fairs, such as Round Top in Texas. Our collection of eclectic pieces is continually growing, and we love incorporating these unique finds into our clients’ projects to add character and charm.
Not at all! The beauty is in the balanced mix. Complementing a modern or transitional space with vintage pieces adds warmth, making the space feel less cold and more homey, lived-in, storied, and full of character. This approach is very true to our design philosophy—it’s all about how you feel in the space and the emotions it evokes!
It’s hard to say, as the timeline really depends on the size and scope of the project. Generally, it can take anywhere from 3 months to over a year. After our consultation, we will provide you with a detailed timeline along with your proposal to give you a clear idea of what to expect. One thing’s for sure: the timeline we give you may feel longer than you imagined, but welcome to the reality of design and construction—everything takes time!
Our minimum project size for Interior Design + Décor is one full room.
We always recommend reaching out as early as possible! This allows us to get you on our waitlist or calendar, and once you have your contractor and architect in place, we’ll be ready to start the design process.
We begin by gathering detailed information about your space, your requirements, and how you live and use the space. This helps us understand the problem we’re solving and what you truly need. Next, we ideate and explore a variety of layout options, considering both functionality and style.
Afterward, we’ll narrow it down to two potential layouts for you to review. We then prototype and test these ideas together, discussing the pros and cons, and we’ll incorporate your feedback. You’ll have the opportunity to request one round of revisions before we finalize the layout plans, ensuring the design works perfectly for you.
By the time we create the plans for you, both you, the clients, and we, the designers, will have a clear understanding of what you want, so we’re confident that you will be happy with one of the two options we present. We include one round of revisions in the package to give the plans your final touch and ensure that every closet, niche, and space is as functional as you envisioned.
Some people like to explore multiple options before settling on one, which often ends up being similar to one of the original options we provided. While we don’t recommend spending unnecessary time going back and forth, we understand if you prefer this approach. If so, we’ll gladly work with you, at a charge of $300 per additional round of revisions.
No, these plans are focused on functionality, flow, and aesthetics. They are designed to help you visualize how the space will work and feel, with interior detail and furniture placement in mind. For construction, you’ll need to take these plans to your architect, who will handle the elevations, engineering, and stamping required for building permits.
Yes, we definitely like to work with your architect. It can go both ways: either we provide your architect with a base to follow, and they will add exterior elevations, engineering, and sometimes suggest revisions based on technical requirements, or we can review, discuss, and approve your architect’s plans, offering minor revisions that will significantly benefit the interior design in the long run. However, the second option is not a full space planning service on our end; it is typically added as an add-on to our interior design services.
Yes, our minimum for space planning is one full floor.
I can’t stress this enough—the earlier, the better! Especially when it comes to space planning. The sooner we’re involved, the more we can ensure that every detail is thoughtfully considered and tailored to your needs from the start.
All of your motherhood hopes and dreams!
Our Kimpeturin Design Service was created as a warm welcome, a special expression of appreciation, and a way to make life easier for the new mom. When a baby arrives, functional (and emotional) needs change, and we’re here to make this transition as convenient, practical, and beautiful as possible—without you lifting a finger during this busy and demanding season of your life.
Depending on your space, budget, and dreams, we’ll transform your primary suite into a cozy, well-equipped retreat with a bassinet, nursing station, comfortable seating, storage, kitchenette, and more!
Our Kimeturin Design fee ranges from $3,000 to $6,000, depending on the room’s size and the number of areas within it (e.g., vestibule, sitting area, nursery, etc.). Additionally, the remodeling budget is:
Good: $30,000
Better: $40,000
Best: $50,000+
This means the total investment for your project would typically fall between $33,000 and $56,000+, depending on your preferences and the scope of the remodel.
Please note that the primary bathroom is not included in this fee structure. However, it can be added to the Kimpeturin Design Package as an optional add-on.
Absolutely! Our Kimpeturin Design Service is thoughtfully designed to be the perfect gift. It’s ideal for an expectant mom who’s special to you and deserves to feel appreciated. You can gift it to your spouse, daughter, mother, or a close friend—and don’t forget, you can always gift it to yourself too! 😉
The sooner, the better to make sure we’re available for you! The latest we can take on an expectant mom is at 5 months pregnant.
It’s simple and exciting! After you purchase the package, we’ll schedule an in-person or virtual consultation to dive into the vision for the room. We’ll talk about its main functions, any pain points you’d like to solve, and of course, design inspiration. This gives us a clear direction for the design plan!
From here, you can relax and focus on yourself and your health—let us handle the details! If you’d like, we can present the design plan to you, or if you prefer a little more suspense, you can keep it a surprise.
Then, once you deliver or take some time at a postpartum convalescent home like Aishes Chayil, we’ll handle the entire install. When you come home, you’ll be greeted by a beautifully remodeled room, ready for you to enjoy with your new little one!
